The top 4 disappointments of travel/contract staffing

Distincitive|RS Tips from the Top: Vol. 9

At Distinctive|RS we believe in keeping it real… Transparency is important if you hope to build trust… and trust me when I say… while contracting holds many benefits there are some major disappoint… If you’re new to contracting or have had nothing but success here are 4 disappointments to be aware of and to look out for.

1. Rejection. Remember there is competition and while you may meet the minimum requirements it t doesn’t guarantee you’ll be selected for the job. However, there is only one way to find out and that means you may have to complete the full application process whenever you change companies.

2. Assignment. Many times your recruiter may not be aware of concerns at a facility in advance of your arrival and start. You may be their first placement there or other candidates have never complained. Regardless of this, be aware a big disappointment in contracting is the assignment alone.

3. Communication. Have you ever sent someone a text or left a voicemail with no response. Frustrating isn’t it? Imagine that’s the person you depend on for your career or pay check. It happens. Lack of communication from recruiters is another big disappointment.

4. Contract changes. They say nothing remains the same. This is also true with contracts. The terms, schedule and conditions are subject to change and sometimes they do. Be aware.

Don’t forget to like, comment, share and follow. We are unique. We are simple. We are distinctive. #DistinctiveRS
